Michael Sluder
Michael is an Alexander, North Carolina, native.
He breeds, trains, and field trials German Shorthaired Pointers. His interests include "nature walks" with his bird dogs, hunting
in the upper peninsula of Michigan, and fishing. His role at the Clinic is one of versatility. He manages the office, performs any needed building repairs and maintenance, does the yard work, and cares for the boarding pets.
Eileen Washko
Eileen is a half-back, having grown up in upstate New York and moving to the mountains of western North Carolina from Sarasota, Florida, in 2008. Eileen enjoys spending time with her black Labrador, Pearl. Eileen has attended Avimark training classes to become proficient in the use of the veterinary computer program used in the Clinic. In 2009, Eileen attended the North American Veterinary Conference in Orlando, Florida. The Conference is one of the largest, and had 15,000 participants. Eileen is our customer service representative.
Pam Norton
Pam is a Burnsville native. She came to the Clinic with six years of experience with Dr. Maddox (now retired). She and her husband, Eddy, are active in church activities. Pam enjoys gardening, canning, traveling, and being outdoors. Pam is a veterinary assistant, pet nurse, and groomer. She enjoys spending time with her dog, Blizzard, and her cats, Dumpy and Oscar.
